Susan in the Myst

Susan in the Myst

The photographer’s aura….

As I have done night photography, people have noticed there is a white glow that emanates from me. Here are some photos other people have taken of me. Sometimes, people have just taken photos of me outdoors as the sun is setting, and I have noticed I am usually surrounded by orbs.

Often the orbs seem to be passing through me – as though I am porous or phasing into another dimension. I have noticed, as I have been raising my vibration and practicing Reiki, the light emanating from me has become brighter, larger, and more multi-layered. All living things have auras, as auras represent energy and energetic vibration.

Auras change by emotion, situation, health, and other circumstances. They can be enhanced through meditation, chanting, singing, dancing, energy work, good diet, being surrounded by supportive people, bringing a pet into your life, and working through unhealthy patterns, among other things.

Your teaching approach was a perfect fit for me, and embraced the knowledge of Reiki as it has been passed down from Sensai Usui through all the teachers. The manner in which you teach embraces the strong spiritual component that I seek. You opened your home, your heart your mind and spirit and made me the beneficiary. I appreciated the time you invested as preparation for my learning journey.

You asked critical questions, all the time, and ‘demanded’ some sort of response. Each question of yours naturally led to further questions. I realize that as I progress these original questions will trigger additional searching and thus there will be further discussion. This is as it should be.

Your Socratic method is what I appreciate. I resonate to the fact that you take your work seriously and ethically, but can poke fun at yourself. I appreciate that you remain skeptical about the many folks functioning in the ‘spirit’ business.

I was at a huge advantage by being with you for a full week. It was a privilege. It was an honor. My opportunity to learn Reiki from you was guided by unseen forces, for I could have taken the course without having to travel to MD. I had made a move to learn from another Master, but when you and I met, I knew that it was important that you should instruct me, and for this I will forever be grateful.

As I prepare to see a client, (you may laugh), but it puts me in mind of the Torah’s description of when the high priests readied themselves to undertake a great ceremony. I seem to need to prepare my frame of mind to undertake the service. When I work over a client I feel transported in a manner that I have never ever experienced. I am in awe.

When I am with a client and begin the Reiki program, it feels sacred and holy more so than when I am in synagogue, or similar. The only other time I have felt this way was during the last few days of Harold’s life, and his preparation for passing over. I don’t know whether it will always feel this way, or whether I will get blase over time, and giving a treatment will merely become a simple ABC of doing things.

Thank you Sensei Susan, for nurturing the spiritual side of me, for lovingly challenging me, for accepting all the parts of me, and for guiding me on this new quest. I could not have had better instruction. As it happened, I needed to be living in the environment, to get it I my bones. I cannot thank you sufficiently except by using Reiki honorably and by being my authentic self as l progress.
